North Dakota Century Code 23-07-17 mandates all students in kindergarten through 12th grade meet a minimum number of required immunizations prior to school entrance, and each school is responsible for excluding non-compliant students after October 1st. Children enrolling in school after October 1st have 30 days to be up-to-date or claim an exemption, or they must be excluded from school. If your student(s) is not up-to-date on any of the required vaccinations we will notify you of what vaccinations your student(s) need.

The link to order 2021-2022 Central McLean Cougars Homecoming Apparel is up and running and is located at the end of this message. The football roster will be printed on the back of the shirts (not pictured in link).
We have adult and youth short-sleeved shirts, long-sleeved shirts, and hooded sweatshirts. Please remember when completing the online order form to include your school for delivery purposes.
The deadline to order is Sept 1 (so we can get apparel items back to us for distribution at the school before Monday, Sept. 13, the start of Homecoming Week).
Due to inventory issues, the adult-sized XL short-sleeved t-shirts are not available. However, long-sleeved shirts and hooded sweatshirts are available in the adult XL size.

Just a heads up for those students involved in the band camp: the bus leaves from the school at 8 a.m., Wed., August 11; 8:20 a.m., Thursday, August 12; and 8:20 a.m., Friday, August 13. Estimated return for all three days is 12:20 p.m. For those students borrowing instruments, Mrs. Grewatz has prepared and left these items in the music room for you.
Turtle Lake - Mercer School has an immediate opening for a paraprofessional for the upcoming school year. This individual works primarily in the special education classroom to support the individual learning needs of students. We are happy to share the "Cougars Activities Practice and Bus Schedule" Google Calendar with you! This calendar will be a great communication tool for coaches, school staff, players, and parents to find the most up-to-date information on where 7th - 12th grade activities are being held and what time they are leaving. Volleyball and football are already on the calendar so go check it out! Go to TLM's website, "More" on the right-hand side, then down to "Athletics/Activites", and click on the "Cougar Activities Practice and Bus Schedules".
We are still looking for an Elementary Girls' Basketball Coach for the fall season. Practice begins Thursday, August 19th and the season ends Tuesday, October 12th. Majority of practices are in McClusky. We expect to have about 15 players on the team. We would like to have two coaches, but need at least one in order to have a season. Friday, August 20th, at 6:45 pm, come to Underwood and help celebrate as we dedicate the Football Field, "Kevin Dockter Field". We ask that all players that played for Doc, and coaches that coached with Doc come to help honor and celebrate Doc's 35 years as football coach of the Comets and Cougars.
This ceremony will be followed by the first FB game of the season as the Cougars play Richardton-Taylor-Hebron, at approximately 7:00 pm.

There will be a football parent meeting for kids playing 9-12th grade August 4th at 8:00 pm in Turtle Lake. Practice starts August 5th in Underwood at 8:00 am. Bus will leave Turtle Lake at 7:30. Kids need to have a physical turned in to the front office before they can practice.

Central McLean cheer attended cheer camp through NCA this past weekend! They received a superior award and qualified to compete at The National Cheer Competition in Dallas, Texas! They also received a spirit stick and a S.T.U.N.T safe award! Not only did the team do well but Destiny Schadegg and Emma Axt were nominated as an All-American cheerleader along with receiving the “America needs more cheerleaders” pins! Coach Cailey Ferber also received an NCA coach Credentialing Certification! Congratulations girls and Coach Ferber!!
CMC Mini Cheer Camp
Where: Underwood School Gym
When: August 28, 2021 from 9:00AM-1:00PM
Who: K- 6th grade
Cost: $35.00 per mini Cheerleader
Mini Cheerleaders will receive; 2021 cheer shirt, cheer bow and a set of pom poms.
Mini Cheerleaders will also get to perform material learned at camp during halftime at the home football game in Turtle Lake-Mercer on September 03, 2021. The game starts at 7:00PM, mini cheerleaders will meet the coach during the last 5 minutes of the second quarter.
Please bring a packed lunch, a small snack if needed and water for mini cheerleader.
Mini Cheerleaders will have a showcase for parents at 12:45PM.
Pre-register by August 20th to receive $5.00 off and guarantee a shirt.
Sign up forms will be available in the TL-M office. Checks can be made out to Underwood Public Schools. Please turn in the forms and the checks to the TL-M School office.
2021 FALL SPORTS REMINDERS: ALL athletes entering grades 7-12 are required by NDHSAA to have a sports physical PRIOR to the 1st day of practice, form B will NOT be used this year. The completed form needs to be turned into the school office, we will provide the forms to the coaches. Student participation fees for ALL students in grades 7 - 12 will be approved a later date. Participation fees are due to the school office along with physical forms. Girls Golf practices start August 2nd, Football starts August 5th, Cross Country starts August 9th, Volleyball practice will start August 16th. and Junior High Volleyball begins August 18th. Time and location about practices will be provided at a later time. Elementary Girls' Basketball will begin Thursday, August 19th after school. No sports physicals are required elementary sports.
