The purpose of music education is to help students become musically self-sufficient—capable of reading, writing, and creating music of their own—while also becoming thoughtful, conscious consumers of music in their everyday lives. Our goal is for students to leave their music education experience not only with strong musical skills but also with a lasting love and joy for music and music-making.
