Mrs. Sheila Schlafmann is a 2001 graduate of Starkweather High School. She attended Mayville State University and in 2005 graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. In 2014, she received her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Salisbury University. In 2018 she received her Superintendent Credential through NDSU. Mrs. Schlafmann’s educational experience includes teaching 7th and 8th grade math for eight years in Salisbury, MD. In 2013, she moved to Turtle Lake – Mercer where she taught for 2 years and was principal for 3 years. She is now in her seventh year as Superintendent at Turtle Lake - Mercer School.
Mrs. Schlafmann and her husband, Jay (a TL-M graduate), live in Mercer and have two children. Jay is a pilot for Alaska Airlines, based out of Seattle, WA. Vivian is a sophomore and Helen is a 7th grader.
