If you watched the most recent podcast episode of The Wave, you may have heard Mrs. Slavik talking about TL-M's care closets. Our care closets are stalked with essentials like hairbrushes, deodorant, body soap, non-perishable food items, grab-and-go snacks, clothing, winter gear, and more! These closets are provided to all TL-M students in partnership with Northland Health Centers. If anybody is looking for a way to help support this initiative, please consider checking out our school's wishlist items on Amazon using the link below. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/OFX12J1K01DW?ref_=wl_fv_le

Thank you to South McLean Soil Conservation Office for sponsoring Tom Gibson's visit to TL-M School. Tom has been traveling around the state as "Sam Ting" and many other characters to teach students about conservation and the importance of taking care of our land and water for many years. Tom will be retiring soon and we were fortunate to be part of one of his last presentations. You can check out his website at: https://samtingonline.com/

The third graders had a blast completing a Thanksgiving Feast Madlib, where they filled in blanks with different parts of speech like nouns, verbs, and adjectives to create a silly, creative story about their Thanksgiving feast. After finishing their Madlibs, the third graders read their funny stories aloud to the first graders, who giggled and joined in the fun. Questions you could ask your child: What was the funniest part of the Thanksgiving Feast Madlib you created? What is a noun, verb, and adjective?
