Good afternoon! Just a few reminders for the last week of school!
7th - 12th grade Chromebook turn-in is May 21st, please make sure your students have their charger, carrying case, and their inventory sticker. There are fees for any missing items dealing with missing or damaged Chromebooks.
May 22nd is the last day of school! We will do our annual Senior Walk at 8:35 (please remind your senior to bring their cap and gown to school), Kindergarten Graduation is at 10:30, Elementary Awards are at 11:00, and school dismisses at 12:30 for summer break! Graduation is on Sunday, May 26th at 2:00. Thank you for a great school year!

We are continuing to implement Apptegy Rooms. Parents and guardians that have not paired with their student will receive email reminders tomorrow. Our plan is to continue with a soft rollout this school year to allow some familiarity with the platform and with a full implementation at the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Please contact Mr. Ziebarth if you have any questions or are running into any issues.

Our next featured graduate is Morgen Fisher.
Yesterday, the third graders visited the Garrison Fish Hatchery. During the field trip, students had the opportunity to interact with various aquatic species, including touching fish, feeding trout, and gaining knowledge on identifying and engaging with painted turtles.
Questions to ask a third grader
1. What is the endangered fish species in North Dakota?
2. How did you identify the name of your painted turtle?
3. Where does the fish hatchery receive all the water for their ponds/tanks?
Algebra II class did Right Triangle Trigonometry using a ND Map. Questions to ask:
1. How did you find the distance from TL to Fortuna, ND using a ND Map, Trig functions, protractors and rulers?
2. Did you have fun in Math today?

The Baccalaureate Celebration planned at Turtle Lake Baptist Church has been moved to a start time of 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15th.
Wednesday, May 15th is Elementary Track and Field Day for students in grades 4 through 6 starting at 12:30. Students are reminded to wear closed toe shoes and athletic clothing. Sunscreen, water bottles, and hats are also encouraged.

Today Kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grade traveled to Bismarck to the Theo Art School and the Dakota Zoo! It was a beautiful day and we had the best behaved students!! Questions to ask:
1: What was your favorite part of the day?
2: What was something new you learned during our time at Theo Art School?
4th grade N.D. Roughrider Hall of Fame Living Museum! What character did you research? Why did you choose that person?
Today the 6th graders traveled to Minot and toured the Dakota Territory Air Museum. They had the opportunity to see some homemade aircrafts and planes from WWII.
Questions to ask these students: What surprising material was used to help make the planes lighter? What was your favorite display?
