The third graders had a blast completing a Thanksgiving Feast Madlib, where they filled in blanks with different parts of speech like nouns, verbs, and adjectives to create a silly, creative story about their Thanksgiving feast. After finishing their Madlibs, the third graders read their funny stories aloud to the first graders, who giggled and joined in the fun.
Questions you could ask your child:
What was the funniest part of the Thanksgiving Feast Madlib you created?
What is a noun, verb, and adjective?

The 6th graders have been reading about the brain and how neurons send messages to parts of the body. Today they did an activity where the brain (first person in line) sends a message (number between 1and 3) along the neurons (students on the middle) to the hand (last person in the line).
Questions to ask these students: Did changing the "brain" and the "hand" make a difference in response time? Which message (number) was the easiest to relay? .....the most difficult?

There will be no school on Friday, November 22nd for State Class B Volleyball in Fargo. Good luck to the Central McLean Cougars Volleyball Team at State!
