We ended the year by having a little fun with the 6th graders after they beat the staff in the annual 6th grade vs. staff kickball game yesterday! We surprised them with a water fight on the last day!

Today we celebrated our 2021 seniors with the annual senior parade! Congratulations seniors, we are proud of you and can’t wait to celebrate you on Sunday, May 23rd at Graduation!
PK - 6 Field Day!!
Tomorrow is the last day of school. Students will be let out at 12:30. Elementary Awards are at 10:30am. Students are welcome to leave with their parents after awards or they can stay for lunch. Buses will leave at 12:30 following lunch. Have a great summer!
Turtle Lake - Mercer School is looking for the following position for the 2021 - 2022 School year: Library Media Aide
The Library Media Aide is responsible for:
1. Maintain the library in terms of book (including periodicals) ordering, cataloging, and updating.
2. Organize and hold book fair.
3. Work with McLean-Mercer Regional Library to schedule Bookmobile.
4. Serve as CDLN Coordinator.
5. Access books from Turtle Lake Public Library and State Library as needed.
6. Plan and deliver educational lessons to PK – 6.
7. Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

At the Monday, May 17th board meeting, the TL-M board voted to make masking a RECOMMENDATION, not a requirement. The change is effective immediately.
Fifth grade released all of their 102 rainbow trout raised in Mr. Kurt Ziebarth's classroom with the help of ND Game and Fish, with Outdoor Education Project Administrator Jeffrey Long helping oversee today's release. Jesper Anderson released the first fish and Kendal Lelm released the last one. Maybe one your future Lightning Lake lunkers will have been from this class' project!
Congratulations to CMC Cougar Softball player and Turtle Lake - Mercer Senior, Sophie Sparrow, on being named one of the Scheels ND All-Star Softball Players for the West Region. This is a huge honor for Sophie, we are so proud of you!! The West will take on the East starting on June 7th in Bismarck at the Sanford Sports Complex and at Kost Field in Casselton on June 8th.
