Today the 8th graders in FACS got to make their own T-Shirts! They designed their own design and learned how to press them today. Some questions to ask these kids are: What kind of paper do you need to do this? What material of shirt do you need for this? What type of ink do you need for this? How long do we press the shirts for?
It's March 1st and that means its reading month! Here are just a few things we would like to do to have fun and encourage our students to read.
* Wednesday March 2 – Wear your Reading month shirt
* Thursday March 10th – Donuts with Adults – Students are invited to bring an adult to read with and meet in the lobby/library area before school to read and have a donut.
* Thursday March 24th – Reading Buddies – We invite everyone down to the gym at 12:35. We will pair up a high-school student with an elementary student and spend a little time reading together. (about 20 minutes )
* Also remember the Book Fair will be going on in the library from March 7-15th.
Mini Cougar Summer Basketball Camp for Girls or Boys Grades K-6!
Coach Vaagene is looking to host a two day summer camp for girls and boys on June 15th and 16th. If you have not yet turned in an interest form, please do so by the end of this week. Payment is NOT do at this time. Forms can be returned to the school office or directly to Coach Vaagene. Thanks
Miss Maria Wirtz is finishing up her last day of student teaching in Kindergarten today! Today they enjoyed donuts and surprised Miss Wirtz with a special gift! On Monday she will be joining 2nd grade!

We've gotten word there may be a scam going around where a caller states credit card information is needed for an ACT study guide to be mailed to your student. A list of free study resources was provided to all juniors. The school is not requiring any additional resources be purchased.

Bus leaves TL-M School at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 24th.
Bus will return to TL-M School upon the conclusion of the 7:30 Championship game in Mandan. Bus will drop students off at the Mercer Centennial Park on the way back to TL-M School. Please be on-time to pick up your student.
*Permission slip must be returned by NOON on Thursday.

Band students will be leaving immediately after school on Tuesday, February 22nd to play at the Regional Girl’s Basketball Tournament in Mandan. Students need to bring their own money for supper. 9th -12th grade boy’s basketball players are excused from playing due to practice. Any students NOT riding the bus home must ride home with a parent and send a note or message to Mrs. Grewatz. Thank you! Go Band!

The Algebra 2 class solved a Baseball at Fenway Park Quadratic Functions problem using their graphing calculators. Mrs. Cullum shared that the students worked diligently on this problem! Questions to ask these students: What was the height after 2 seconds? When was the ball 80 feet above the ground? If the catcher misses the ball, when does it hit the ground? How high is the ball at its highest point and when does it reach its highest point?
Today 7th and 8th graders competed in the 2022 Math Counts Competition! Students competed in an individual competition and there was a team competition. Questions to ask these students: What question was the most difficult for you? What question was the easiest for you and why? Did you enjoy the competition?
First graders went to RDO in Washburn for Safety Day. Questions to ask your child: Which station was your favorite? Why do we stay away from a PTO when it is running?
