Dear Turtle Lake - Mercer school families, This afternoon one of our extra-curricular buses was involved in a multi-vehicle accident. Our bus driver was able to apply defensive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. Today TL-M teachers and staff, along with several other McLean County schools, participated in a Poverty Simulation put on by the CREA. We will also engage in a book study later this fall to support today’s learning experience.

Elementary girls basketball had a parent/player meeting tonight at the Mercer Park. Practice begins on Tuesday, August 23rd in Turtle Lake. Have a great season girls!

REMINDER: Join us tomorrow, August 18th from 4:30 to 6:00 for a back-to-school night where you can meet your teacher(s), drop of school supplies, pay fees, turn in forms to the office, and enjoy a grilled hot dog. At 5:45 we will celebrate the new playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony. We will hold our Annual Title I Schoolwide meeting in the gym at 6:00 where you will hear about our plans for the upcoming school year. We look forward to seeing both new and returning families on the 18th!
