Good morning! All students that are playing 7th - 12th grade sports need to take a baseline concussion test when playing a sport. This is typically done in grades 7, 9, and 11. If you are new to TL-M or did not play a sport in grades 7, 9, or 11 you will need to take the baseline concussion test. Mrs. Schlafmann will be providing time for student athletes to take their test on Friday, August 5th at 11:00; Monday, August 8th at 11:00; and Monday, August 15th at 11:00. I will be at the school, so please contact me if one of the times does not work and we will get you set up to take the short test. I will also work with practice times for football, volleyball, golf, and cross country. Thanks!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Central Regional Education Association (CREA) will be conducting a back-to-school workshop for participating school staff within McLean County on August 18, 2022, at the Washburn Public School. The workshop will be an interactive immersion experience called Poverty Simulation, see description below. We are seeking numerous volunteers to help make this an amazing experience for the teachers and staff working in McLean County Schools. Please consider volunteering your time for this event. The Poverty Simulation is an interactive immersion experience where participants (school staff) will be assigned to a "family" and navigate many of the challenges their students may face when living in a low-income household. This event is designed to bridge the gap from misconception to reality. Volunteers are needed to work the various community resource stations (bank, utility collector, grocery store, school, daycare, social services, etc.) the participants will interact with. Volunteers will receive all information needed for their task when they arrive to the event. We need several volunteers for both the morning and afternoon sessions. Those helping with both sessions will be provided lunch. For the AM session, volunteers need to arrive at 8am and will finish by 11am. PM session volunteers need to arrive by 12:30pm and will finish at 3:30pm. To volunteer for this event, please email Anne Williamson at Anne.Williamson@k12.nd.us indicating your availability for the AM, PM or BOTH sessions no later than August 10th.

Good afternoon! We are already planning for fall activities and need information to plan for coaches and transportation. If you have a daughter going into 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the fall, please text Mrs. Schlafmann at 757-651-9230 if they plan on playing elementary girls' basketball. Once we know how many 5th and 6th graders we have playing we will determine what will happen with 4th graders. Practice will begin August 23rd after school.
