K,1, and 2 went to the Gateway to science today! They had so many fun hands on experiences! They were also so well behaved! Questions to ask:
1. what was your favorite exhibit ?
2. What exhibit do you wish you could have spent more time at?

Congratulations William Grabinger! He is the most recent entry into the Million Word Club for the school year.

Mrs. Volochenko's Kindergarten spent some time spelling words with magic e today! Some things to ask:
1. How many vowels are there?
2. What sound does the magic e make our vowels say?
3. How many sounds can a vowel make?

Students in FACS Class are working on a Recycle and Redesign project. A couple of questions to ask them about this would be: What is your project idea? How are you creating it? What resources are you using to create it?

4th grader, Aden, created a coloring contest for his classmates. His classmates had to draw and color their picture. A panel of judges, including Hank LaBore from Wednesday's 4th grade water presentation, chose the winning picture. Aden then designed the winner of the contest a one of a kind pair of tennis shoes! Congratulations to Elizabeth on being the recipient of the shoes!

The Joy of Music! Eckroth music helped the 4th grade students try out band instruments today!

Our Special Education Paraprofessionals have worked very hard this year with being flexible with schedules and working with the students here at TL-M. These five received their certification awards today and deserve recognition for all the wonderful work they do throughout the school year.

Mrs. Freeman's 2nd grade has been learning about reading clocks to 5 minute intervals. If you see a 2nd grader, and there’s a clock around, ask them to read the clock and what time it shows. Also ask them if they are reading a digital clock or analog clock!

Special thanks to Hank LaBore today. He brought some great activities about watersheds for our 4th Grade students.
Some questions to ask the 4th Graders: What is a watershed? Tell me about the water web game you played. Where did you spend the most time as a water droplet?

Mrs. Laib's 8th graders have been studying The Diary of Anne Frank. Today we did a group brainstorming activity in preparation for writing obituaries for all those who hid in the Secret Annex. Questions to ask: Who were those that hid? Why did they hide? What happened after they were caught? What are some of the differences between the play and the actual diary? What is an obituary? What information is usually found in an obituary?
