They were so fun and entertaining to watch! Questions to ask: 1. What background and characters did you create? 2. What was your story like?

3rd grade just learned 16th notes in music. They learned a poem called “Peanut Butter Pie” that had 16th notes in it. They then created their own melody to the poem on xylophones, metallophones, and glockenspiels. Here is a video of their performance. https://youtu.be/T9x2UyTAOcc?si=bCSgqP5ceQoSGEQR Questions to ask: What rhythm is ‘Peanut Butter Pie?’ What other desserts did you create rhythms too?

The 6th graders got the amazing opportunity to visit the Rust Mountain View Ranch to see the animals and watch bull auction sale. The class learned about cattle business and walked out to observe the bulls and heifers. Many picked out their favorite bull or heifer to watch. The auction was the most exciting part of the day, listening and watching bidders bid! Thanks to the Rust family for inviting us to their sale! Question to ask these students: What is the difference between commercial and purebred cattle? What does it mean to be a yearling? What qualities to you look for in a bull or heifer?
