Kindergarten has been learning about 2D shapes. Today we talked about Hexagons! We used marshmallows and toothpicks to make our own! Questions to ask:
1. How many sides does a Hexagon have?
2. What is a vertex?




We have some very exciting news here at TL-M! Over the summer, our school will be getting a facelift which will result in brand new classroom windows and a new cafeteria entrance. With this project and the completion of the gym floor, we will all be returning to school in the fall to a bright, new environment!

Kindergarten and 5th grade had Peep day! We took a poll to find out who liked peeps and who didn’t! They worked together to come up with a new peep flavors! This afternoon we used jelly beans, toothpicks, and peeps to make a peep houses! We finished our day by taste testing 6 flavors of peeps and made descriptions with our partners! Happy Easter!





Mrs. Wyman's Kindergarten has been working on their singing voices in music class. They have been doing a song called “Lemonade” and they change it to sing about whatever their favorite drink is. The song includes pouring water from cup to cup. They got to practice their pouring skills today by passing the water from one cup to the next. Questions to ask your student: Can you sing the song for me? How does the game work? Can you show me how to pour water gently?

Griffin Kraft placed 29th out 160 participants at the ND State Mathcounts competition. Way to Make It Count and represent TL-M School well!


Kindergarten had science experiment Friday! We made borax crystals and it took us two whole days! Some questions to ask:
1:What materials did we use?
2: Are the crystals liquids or solids?


Mark your calendars! The 61st Annual Masonic Scholarship Banquet will be held in Washburn on April 22nd, 2024. This is a banquet to honor students that have achieved excellence in the classroom. Mr. Ziebarth will be completing the list of students in grades 9-12 that will be eligible for the banquet early next week.

Mrs. Lelm's 4th grade Circuits! Ask your students: What is a series circuit? What is a parallel circuit? What is a schematic diagram and can you draw one?





Thank you to Miss North Dakota, Sydney Helgeson! She visited Turtle Lake-Mercer School today and presented to all of our students on her platform Live United: Building Stronger Communities Together. The students got to ask questions after her presentation and she also sang Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid and The National Anthem for our 7-12 students!
