This week, May 2nd - 6th, we celebrate our amazing teachers at TL-M! Take time this week to share with your teacher(s) why you appreciate them and how they have impacted your life!
Thank you, teachers, for all you! You teach, mentor, coach, inspire, and heal your students. Sometimes we see those impacts instantly, sometimes within the school year, and sometimes the impact of a teacher isn’t seen for years. You are difference makers and we appreciate you for all you do day after day!
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 📝📚💙

Hello! I am Abby Brossart. I’m excited to be joining the Turtle Lake-Mercer team next year, teaching 6th grade. I grew up on a family farm in Lakota, ND. I attended Mayville State University. I have previously taught Rugby, Lignite, Halliday, and Center-Stanton. I enjoy painting, golf, and the outdoors. I also enjoy racing with my soon-to-be husband, Jon Schumann.

Today was a busy, but fun day! Hollywood Wax Museum, Castle of Chaos, Table Rock Dam and Lake, shopping at Branson Landing, Shoot for the Stars Mini Golf, and Dolly Parton’s Stampede! We were all happy to see our hotel tonight 🙂

There continues to be concern about the behavioral health of our children, especially after the past few years. North Dakota’s Parents Lead program offers resources, tips and tools for ND parents and caregivers to support the behavioral health of their child(ren).
The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Division (BHD) would like to invite you to participate in a survey about Parents Lead to ensure the resources are accessible and usable. This survey should take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Kindergarten has been talking about animals in their science unit. They were able to incubate and hatch 7 chicks! Some questions to ask:
How many days does it take for a fertilized egg to hatch?
What are two important things we need when incubating eggs?

TLMM will not be traveling to Wilton today for the volleyball jamboree.
Here is an opportunity for students going into grades 6 - 8 next year who are interested in computers, programming, or robotics! Spots are filling up quickly so sign up for this free event before it is full!
