Good morning TL-M families! I’ve been out checking roads (highway and gravel) across our district and visibility is good at this time. There is very little drifting and where there are drifts they are passable. We will be running on-time today. Please use caution when traveling and give yourself time to get where you are heading. With all of the planning that goes into a weather-related decision, we are not always “right” for the entire district. Due to our large district, each bus driver can stop his/her route for unsafe conditions and each family can make the decision whether or not they want to send their children to school. Thank you and have a great day!

Third grade has been working hard on their times tables! They have all mastered 2s and they are spread out pretty evenly in 3s and 4s. One student is up to 7s 🙌🏻. Today they used PlayDoh to create arrays that represent the facts they are working hard to surpass!  The best news is, regardless of whether they “move on”, every one of them improves daily!!  Mrs. Anderson is VERY proud of their hard work!

The group was also presented with information about class rings and letterman jackets. Students that are interested took home information packets for ordering. Good evening! Please sign up to help with concessions. All families of students in grades 5-12 who are involved in the music program or athletics/activities are asked to help with concessions. Money raised helps provide opportunities for all students involved. You have two options 1) serve during at least one home basketball game or 2) provide baked goods for at least two home basketball games. The first game is November 17th. Please sign up ASAP by clicking on the link below. Thank you in advance! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904094ba4ae22a3f49-concessions

Today in 3rd grade, they used tiles to make arrays to help us use the distributive property of multiplication. Students were given multiplication equations and had to create an array to represent the equation. Then they “chopped” the array into 2 smaller arrays. By writing new equations and then adding them together, we could see that the product for each equation was still the same! Give your student a multiplication equation, within 40, and ask them to demonstrate how the distributive property works!
