This week PreK learned about being safe and what to do in an emergency. We learned the importance of wearing helmets when we ride bike, wearing a seatbelt in the car, and playing safely by following rules. Today we played a game called "Should I call 911?" The students were given different scenarios, and they had to decide if it was an emergency. They had fun practicing calling 911.
Questions to ask:
What number do we call in an emergency? 911
Who will come to help if I call 911? Firemen, police officers, or the ambulance
What do I wear to stay safe riding bike? Helmet
What do I wear to stay safe in the car? A seatbelt

Today, the Sophomore English class went to the Heart of America Library in Rugby to visit the Americans and the Holocaust exhibit. Questions to ask: What was one new thing you learned today? What new information made the biggest impact on you? What other questions do you have now that you would like to get answers to after visiting the exhibit?
