
The 1st and 2nd graders watched scenes from the Nutcracker Ballet in music class while coloring pictures of the story. Ask your students to show you their pictures and tell you the story.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, December 20th) we will have our Christmas Dinner which includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dinner rolls, stuffing, green beans, cranberries, and dessert! Thank you to everyone who donated a turkey for this meal!


The JH GBB game that was scheduled for tomorrow (12-17) in Underwood has been POSTPONED. The game will be played Tuesday (12-20) starting at 4:00. The location has also been changed to Beulah's Middle School.

The Boys’ Basketball Velva Invitational Tournament has been canceled this year due to weather.


Good afternoon! In order to help our families plan for the upcoming school week, our TENTATIVE plan for storm days are as follows: full day of school on Wednesday, December 21st; school on Thursday, December 22nd with a 1:00 dismissal; and school on Monday, January 16th. We will keep our other two Storm Days on the calendar for future use if needed. This plan will be presented to the school board on Monday, December 19th for approval. We will then update you with any changes. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

The TL-M Christmas Concert will be held on Monday, December 19th starting at 12:30 with the elementary followed by the band/choir. Families and the public are welcome to join us in the Ed Rath Auditorium and it will be broadcast on Facebook Live.

The girls’ basketball game against Shiloh that was rescheduled for Friday, December 16th has been postponed, no date set yet. The boys’ games in Velva are still on for Friday as of now, we will let you know if anything changes.

Good afternoon TL-M families! We have made the decision to cancel school for Tuesday, December 13th due to the incoming weather.
The Christmas Concerts will be held on Thursday, December 15th with elementary starting at 9:00 A.M. and high school at 10:15A.M. They will be open to families and the public, they will also be streamed on Facebook Live. IF school were to be delayed on Thursday, the concerts would delay accordingly.

Not only are the 3rd graders practicing for the Christmas concert, they have also been working on a Māori folk song. These students are incorporating a traditional Māori stick game into the song. A question to ask your students is…
