Mrs. Laib's 8th graders have been working hard on their time capsules, which is an English class tradition. The time caosules will be kept in the English room until their last day of school as seniors, when they will be opened. Today, they followed directions on how to wrap a box, and then wrote notes to all their classmates. Questions to ask these students: What items did you included in your time capsule and why did you choose these items?

Mrs. Anderson's 4th and 5th grade reading students worked on a project about “connections” this week. We read a story about making connections with people and then we created our own hexagon chain. Each student had to draw/write about their hobby, favorite school subject, etc. Then we connected our hexagons where there were similarities. Things to ask your student: What was the challenging part of this project that required good teamwork? How is our class like a family?
