
8th grade Earth Science students finished up their Solar System unit with a children's book about their planets, along with hand sewn planets from FACS class.




Students in Mr. Buccholz‘s class are learning about framing and are making mini sheds. These will be displayed at the ND State Fair this summer.





The 4th grade learned about fossils and got to make their own fossils!


REMINDER: Turtle Lake Mercer School is hosting a scholarship presentation tomorrow, Wednesday, October 13th at 5:30 PM. Parents of students in grades 9-12 are invited. A representative from North Dakota Department of Public Instruction will be here to explain changes to the state scholarship programs.

REMINDER: First District Health Unit will be at the school next week on October 19th to give flu shots. If you would like your child to receive a shot, please return the consent form to the school as soon as possible. Forms are available in the school office or visit www.fdhu.org. Thank you!

The 8th grade FACS students helped Mrs. Voth repurpose an old book that fell apart by sewing several pieces of paper together to make bookmarks for the library! “Sew” cool!

Just a reminder that the Junior High football team plays Surrey tonight in Underwood at 5:00 PM. The Junior Varsity is traveling to New Salem for a 6:30 PM game. This is a change to the original schedule as Surrey did not have enough for a Junior High game. GO COUGARS!

Mrs. Buccholz’s 7th grade FACS students finished their finger puppets that accompany a children’s book! This was one of their projects for their childcare unit!





Today Mrs. Lelm’s 4th graders received a surprise popcorn party from Mr. Ziebarth for being an outstanding class of readers! So far they have read over 1,350,381 words this school year! Way to go 4th grade, keep reading!!


Each month students in Miss Myhre’s 2nd grade will be getting a new book thanks to their Scholastic book sponsors! This month’s book was “We Don’t Eat Our CLASSMATES” by Ryan T. Higgins.
