Congratulations to Kutler and Anthony on making it to the championship round of the chess tournament! They began with 32 students in the bracket. Kutler Rust was the 2021 Chess Champion!

The 4th graders are busy making cards for those they are thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving from Pk-3! Today they celebrated with their annual Friendsgiving Dinner! Each student brought an item to share to make their meal.

3rd Grade “Turkey in Disguise” project!

In October The Chess Guy visited TL-M classrooms. Today our 5th and 6th graders are applying what they learned in a Chess Tournament!

We are so thankful for all of our supportive TL-M families and community! Happy Thanksgiving!

Please join the TL-M Music students on Thursday, December 2nd at 6:30 for the Holiday Concert!

Mrs. Philbrick’s sophomore biology class completed a cookie cell project today. Questions to ask these students are “what organelle powers the cell?” and “what is the difference between the rough ER and smooth ER?”. They look pretty yummy!

Jason Mattheis from ND EduTech (at right) and Matt Hiatt with ND Bureau of Criminal Investigation (at left) took our fifth through ninth-graders on a digital citizenship tour today to talk about safe social media practices.

Seventh-grade life science students finished their Cell City project and presented their findings to their classmates. Some questions to ask your students are "What organelles do plant cells have that animals don’t?" and "what part of the 'city' represents the Golgi body and why?"

Our Math Academic teams competed in the McLean County Math Meet today! The 9th-10th grade team placed 3rd! Congratulations!

The Ag II students applied their knowledge of plumbing to make model sprinklers to be used for lawn or garden watering. Questions to ask the students: How did you get all the fittings connected? What were the different thread pitches that you connected?

The 6th graders are learning about Earth’s features, which involves latitude and longitude. They did a scoot around the classroom with maps and globes to practice their skills in finding different locations with given sets of coordinates.

Our FACS classroom cabinets are installed, just a few more things to do to finish up before they can move in!

Today we honored our local veterans with a program. 💙❤️

Thank you to all of our Veterans for your service. Please join us at TL-M tomorrow starting at 12:45 for our Veteran’s Day Program.

Student teacher, Miss Chelsea Laswell, had the fourth grade write paragraphs about the good traits of a veteran. Mrs. Laib’s freshmen came in and helped the students proofread and publish the paragraphs.

Our Student Council will be hosting a Veteran’s Day program (open to the public) beginning at 12:45 p.m., Friday, November 12, in our gymnasium to honor those who have served in the military. Grace Goven will be playing Taps (named by Congress in 2012 as the National Song of Remembrance). Her performance will be followed by a flag-folding ceremony conducted by Miss Ziebarth’s sixth-grade students, after which we will enjoy a program entitled “Letters From Home,” a memoir by ND Federal Jury Administrator Candy Schafer. Veterans in attendance will be invited to an ice cream social afterwards.
