Thank you for your generosity, school spirit, and support for our FFA!

As your principal, I am continually reminded of how proud we are of our student-athletes—past and present. When you walk into our gymnasium, you see banners representing years of dedication, teamwork, and team pride. However, we know there are still gaps in our historical athletic records, and we have an opportunity to better honor our school’s legacy.
We would like to create a banner for each sport to recognize postseason success. To do this accurately, we need your help.
While we have several existing banners recognizing state tournament appearances, district championships, and region championships, some years and teams may be missing or need verification. Our goal is to ensure that every qualifying team—across all sports and eras—is properly recognized.
We are seeking community members to form a small Athletic History Committee to help:
• Review existing gym banners
• Examine yearbooks, newspaper archives, and personal scrapbooks
• Verify postseason appearances by sport and year
• Help ensure the final list is accurate before new banners are produced
We know that many of you—former athletes, coaches, statisticians, and longtime fans—carry valuable knowledge of our school’s athletic history. Your memories and records are incredibly important to this project.
This is more than updating banners. It is about honoring generations of student-athletes and preserving our school’s story for the future.
If you are interested in serving on this committee or contributing information, please contact Mr. Ziebarth. Once we gather interested individuals, we will schedule an initial meeting to organize the effort.
Thank you for your continued support of Turtle Lake–Mercer School and for helping us celebrate our proud athletic tradition.

03/21- World Down Syndrome Day:
On World Down Syndrome Day, we help raise awareness by rocking a pair of fun or mismatched socks. This is an easy way to celebrate with our community and celebrate those who have Down Syndrome or know of someone with Down Syndrome. ROCK YOUR SOCKS ON MARCH 21st!
03/25- Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month:
During the month of March we celebrate those who are impacted by/with Cerebral Palsy. To help raise awareness, promote inclusion, and support research for those living with cerebral palsy. WEAR GREEN ON MARCH 25th!
04/02-Autism Acceptance Month:
On April 2nd we wear blue as a symbol of awareness and acceptance for individuals on the autism spectrum. Blue was chosen as the color to represent calmness and serenity, which is an important part of individuals with autism days who may struggle with sensory overload. LIGHT IT UP BLUE ON 4.2!
So, TLM community let’s show up and support those in our life that are impacted.

During the State B Boys' Basketball Tournament, the TL-M FFA Chapter will donate $1 for every point scored by the Cougars to the Lord's Pantry. We invite local businesses and organizations to join us by matching the Cougar's points with a donation of their own. Together, we can turn every basket into support for families in our community!

TL-M Teachers have started preparations for completing the ND A+ Summative Assessment. Students will begin testing in March and April. Please take time to look over the following document that has been prepared by ND DPI. One item to highlight in the document is the ND A+ Family Portal that will be published later in the year. This is a new feature that allows families to have direct access to their students' results. https://aptg.co/DmcSTR
