Turtle Lake-Mercer

On Monday night, TL-M juniors and seniors were busy dialing their phones asking for donations for this year's local Dollars for Scholars Scholarships.  The kids share that is was a fun night full of silly requests in return for scholarship dollars!  Amy Klain noted they had to perform the YMCA for one TL-M resident.  Some other performances included singing "I'm a Little Teapot", cartwheels, and writing five Haiku Cat poems for a certain cat-loving individual!  The students shared it was fun to "bang the gong" when they reached milestones throughout the night.  Sophie Sparrow shared that they are especially grateful for all the ladies who volunteered their time setting up for the event and keeping them organized.  A BIG "Thank You" to everyone who donated making this year's phon-a-thon a huge success by raising $10,175 exceeding their $8,000 goal!
